Mark Kenneth Woods – Created By/Executive Producer/Director

bio_woodsWoods is a multi-award winning filmmaker and one of Canada’s most prominent independent LGBTQ2 voices. His work has screened in over 400 festivals and galleries around the world, including Paris’ Centre Pompidou and The British Museum in London, and has been broadcast on television in over a dozen countries.

A familiar face on Canada’s OUTtv Network, Mark is known as the creator and star of various TV series (The Face of Furry Creek, The House of Venus Show) and the hugely successful LGBTQ commercial for Starbucks “Coffee Frenemies” starring Bianca Del Rio and Adore Delano.

His most recent work in documentary, including the groundbreaking feature “Two Soft Things, Two Hard Things” (co-directed with Michael Yerxa) about how colonization and religion shamed and erased traditional Inuit beliefs about sexuality and family structure, have screened worldwide and won a number of awards.

 

Michael Yerxa – Producer/Director

bio_yerxaKnown for his outspokenness as an original cast member on Logo TV and MTV Canada’s 1 Girl 5 Gays, Yerxa has worked behind the scenes as a producer on some of Canada’s most successful factual television shows including The Amazing Race Canada, Canada’s Smartest Person and Still Standing.

His most recent work in documentary, including the groundbreaking feature “Two Soft Things, Two Hard Things” (co-directed with Mark Kenneth Woods) about how colonization and religion shamed and erased traditional Inuit beliefs about sexuality and family structure, have screened worldwide and won a number of awards.
