Short Synopsis: This award-winning docuseries follows filmmaker Mark Kenneth Woods and friends as he travels to different pride celebrations around the globe to learn about LGBTQ+ history and how it can inform our communities going forward.

Long Synopsis (Season 3): This multiple Leo Award-winning and Canadian Screen Awards-nominated docuseries follows filmmaker Mark Kenneth Woods and friends as he travels to different pride celebrations around the globe to learn about LGBTQ+ history and how it can inform our communities going forward.

Inspired by the exclusion of LGBTQ+ history growing up, Woods embarks on a worldwide journey to discover how LGBTQ people have lived, loved and persevered over time and how those stories can bridge the gap between our often-divided communities today.

In the series’ third season, Woods tackles the themes of isolation and resilience in the midst of cancelled Pride events during the COVID Pandemic. Despite the difficulty in worldwide travel, Woods explores 5 new & exciting destinations where he learns about LGBTQ+ pioneers throughout time. From famous poets to trans activists to pre-colonial two-spirit sexuality, the series brings lesser-known, and often surprising, LGBTQ stories to light.

While exploring where and how LGBTQ+ people have both struggled and strived in the past, this heartwarming series awakens a brand new sense of “pride” in the wake of COVID as we learn to live with the virus.
